M.L. Benedict Null was born about 1673 probably in Holland. He emigrated 2 Oct 1727 on the ship Adventurer to South Carolina.

Gen 10:
This unknown Null had four sons:
  1. William Oliver Null was born about 1755. See Generation 9 below.
  2. Michael Null
  3. Adam Null
  4. John Null




Gen 9:
William Oliver Null Sr. was born about 1755 in South Carolina and died about 1808 in St. Louis Co., Missouri. He married Sophia. William was in PA by 1752. He and his three brothers moved from Pennsylvania to Jefferson Co., MO about 1800 and settled near Joachim Creek.

William and Sophia had nine children:

  1. Adam Null
  2. John Null
  3. Sophia Null
  4. Polly Null
  5. Elizabeth Null
  6. Catherine Null
  7. David Null
  8. William Oliver Null Jr. was born about 1777 in SC. He married Dorothy Harness in St. Claire Co., IL and they had nine children: Sarah, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Jemima, Josiah S, William, Amelia, Susannah, and John Wesley Null. William Jr. was made Commissioner of Hillsboro, Jefferson Co., MO in 1818.
  9. Michael Null was born about 1784. See Generation 8 below.




Gen 8:
Michael Null Sr. was born about 1784 in Pennsylvania. He married Marguerite House in 1809.
Marguerite House was born in 1781 in Missouri and died in 1870 in Fayette Co., Texas. She was the daughter of Anne Wheat and Adam House.

Michael and Marguerite had four sons:

  1. David Null
  2. Michael M Null Jr. was born 8 Oct 1812. See Generation 7 below.
  3. William Oliver Null was born 8 Oct 1812. He married Mary and they had three children: David Edwin, John D, and Margaret Null.
  4. John Adams Null was born about 1814 in MO and is buried at Plum Grove Cemetery. He married first Eliza J Hendrickson (reported by famiy to be "full-blooded Cherokee Indian") and they had four children: Margaret, David Monteville, John Adams Jr., and Charles Hendrickson Null, who was murdered as a Constable. John Adams married second Sarah Hildebrand, daughter of Sarah Good Sullens and Abraham Hildebrand. John and Sarah had four sons: Austin R, William H, Charles, and John Null.





Gen 7:
Michael M Null Jr. was born 8 Oct 1812 in Jefferson Co., MO. He died 11 Feb 1899 in Crossroads, Miller Co., MO and was buried in Seaton Cemetery, Maries Co., MO. Michael married first Eveline Hensley25 Feb 1855 in Franklin Co., MO.

Michael and Eveline had seven children:

  1. John Null
  2. Emma Null was born about 1855.
  3. Sarah Victoria Null was born about 1860. She married George Barton Slone and they had at least one child: Albert Samuel Slone. This family ties into the Hancock family; I'll get to that someday and link it here.
  4. Malinda Null was born about 1864 in MO.
  5. Frances E Null was born about 1868.
  6. Susan M Null was born about 1872 in MO.
  7. Nancy Emiline Null was born about 1875 in MO. She married William T Tyler and they had at least one child: Lillie Tyler. Also a tie to the Hancock family here.

Michael married second Elizabeth Julia Hildebrand on 8 Nov 1832 in MO.
Elizabeth Julia Hildebrand was born 1812 at Cedar Hill, Jefferson Co., MO. She was the daughter of Maria Garla Garlock and Peter Hildebrand.

Michael and Elizabeth had nine children:

  1. Felix Null was born about 1833 and served in the 10th Missouri Infantry, Company I, according to Confederate Pension records.
  2. Margaret Null was born about 1836.
  3. Thomas Abraham Null was born about 1838 and died about 1913. He served in the 2nd Regiment, Missouri State Guard, Company E, as Calvary, according to Confederate Pension records. Thomas married Catherine Helms and they had at least three children: Joseph, Jane and John Null.
  4. Abraham P Null was born about 1838. See Generation 6 below.
  5. Julia Null was born 22 Nov 1840.
  6. Hulson Null was born about 1843.
  7. Mary Ann Null was born 10 Jul 1845.
  8. Charles Franklin Null was born 11 Oct 1846.
  9. Martha E Null was born 15 Sep 1849.





Gen 6:
Abraham P Null was born about 1838 in Miller Co., Missouri. He married first Louisa Forbis about 1875.

Abraham and Louisa had at least two children:

  1. James T Null was born about 1877
  2. Benjamin F Null was born about 1879.

Abraham married second Sarah E Boly on 11 Oct 1860.
Sarah E Boly was born in 1847 in Jefferson Co., Missouri. She was the daughter of Michael Boly and Jemima Morehead.

Abraham and Sarah had four children:

  1. Charles W Null was born about 1863 in MO. He married Sarah Jane Phillips and they had at least two children: Lucy and George W Null.
  2. Joahana Null was born about 1866 in MO.
  3. John M Null was born 11 Dec 1868. See Generation 5 below.
  4. Henry C Null was born about 1872 in MO.




Gen 5:
John M Null was born 11 Dec 1868 in MO and died 10 Jun 1956. John married Leah Lucinda Davis on 25 Aug 1894.
Leah Lucinda Davis was born 8 Jul 1870 and died 2 May 1949. She was the daughter of Sarah Ellen Jones and William Thompson Davis.

John and Lucinda had five children:

  1. William Virgil Null was born 30 Dec 1895. See Generation 4 below.
  2. Maude Clara Null was born 28 Feb 1898 and died 2 Jan 1979. She married Charles Hancock, son of Perlitt Emoline Jennings and Gilbert Hancock, and they adopted two children: Louis and Lester Hancock.
  3. Claude Null was born 28 Feb 1898. He married Lesta Newburg.
  4. Myrtle Null was born 20 Jul 1903 and died 2 Jul 1988. She married first Joseph Samuel Kelley and they had at least one child: Ancel Kelley. Myrtle married second Thomas Robertson and they had at least three children: Paul, Howard, and Norma Lee Robertson.
  5. May Null was born 28 Jun 1906 and died 11 May 1998. She married Cecil Tibbs and they had at least three children: Audrey, Betty and Catherine Tibbs.




Gen 4:
William Virgil Null was born 30 Dec 1895. He died 13 May 1979 and was buried in Seaton Cemetery, Maries Co., MO. Virgil married first Lottie Mae Hancock.
Lottie Mae Hancock was born 29 Mar 1899 and died 20 Oct 1955. She was buried in Houston MO. Lottie was the daughter of Cora Elisabeth Pharris and John Anderson Hancock.

Virgil and Lottie Mae had five children:

  1. Ruby Null was born 2 Oct 1918 and died 20 Oct 1955. She is buried at Seaton Cemetery, Maries Co., MO.
  2. Freda Opal Null
  3. Jesse Gordon Null was born 6 Aug 1922. See Generation 3 below.
  4. Dorothy P Null
  5. Patricia Null

Virgil married second Madeline Schuler about 1948.

Gen 3:
Jesse Gordon Null was born 6 Aug 1922 in Roubidoux MO and died 18 May 2004 at home in Temperance MI. He was buried at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Bedford Township, MI. He married Irene Catherine Tutak on 10 Apr 1948.
Irene Catherine Tutak was born 27 Mar 1920 in Pennsylvania.
